Center Drive School has 3 musical performing groups geared to grades 5-8. Each one is uniquely different in their own way.
1. Chorus 2. Concert Band 3. Jazz Band We also have a Beginner Band geared towards primarily 4th grade students. Info is located on a separate page under the "More" header. |
Jazz BandThe CDS Jazz Band is a competitive performing group. It is made up of students that like Jazz Music that also play a jazz instrument. Ex. Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Drum Set, Keyboard/Piano, Electric Guitar and Bass Guitar. Other instruments are sometimes allowed into the group - they just need to talk with Mrs. Miller about it.

Concert BandThe CDS Concert band is made up of students in grades 5-8 who have played a band instrument for a year or more. This group participates in 2 concerts each year.

ChorusThe CDS Chorus is made up of students in grades 5-8 who enjoy singing. This group participates in 2 concerts each year.

CONCERT BAND - will rehearse on Thursday mornings beginning September 5th. We meet from 7:20 until 8:00 am. Students may be dropped off NO EARLIER than 7:15.
CHORUS - will rehearse on Tuesday mornings beginning September 3rd. We meet from 7:20 until 8:00 am. Students may be dropped off NO EARLIER than 7:15.
JAZZ BAND - will rehearse on Friday afternoons beginning September 20th. We meet from 3:00 until 4:30 pm.
